Neko-chan

For all the pet lovers out there, oh and the crazy cat lady from The Simpsons too.
For those of you out there that no nothing about the japanese language, 'Neko' is the japanese word for the domestic cat. The honorific '-chan', and this comes straight from the front of Othello vol. 1: "Used to express endearment, mostly toward girls. It is also used for little boys, pets, and even among lovers. It gives a sense of childish cuteness." If you still don't understand, keep reading:
"Politeness has always been a critical facet of Japanese culture. Ever since the feudal era, when Japan wa a highly stratified society, use of honorifics - which can be defined as polite speech that indicates relationship or status - has played and essential role in the Japanese language. When addressing someone in Japanese, and honorific usually takes the form of a suffix attached to one's name (example: "Asuna-san"), or as a title at the end of one's name or in place of the name itself (example: "Negi-sensei" or simply "Sensei!").
