Roxy

This one, plus the next 5 are part of a series of characters I had in my head. Expect to see more following these. This is Roxy. In truth she's actually Arlene's nameless guardian angel, and she chose the name 'Roxy' after seeing it printed across one of Arlene's t-shirts. Like Arlene, Roxy is a hyrbid as well: part guardian angel, part elven, and part guardian (the qualities of a guardian and a guardian angel are two completely different things).

The pose was inspired by a pic I had seen in one of my volumes of Othello. This is the original version of Roxy that I've drawn. And before you start sending me e-mails about Roxy's outfit, those are NOT tassles! Those are cords that follow the seams along each side of the shirt, come to a knot in the front and back, and drop down. It's because she's leaning backwards it looks like tassels. And if you really want to get technical, the knots are under her bustline, not above it.
