Roxy's Design
This one, plus the next 5 are part of a series of characters I had in my head. Expect to see more following these. This is Roxy. In truth she's actually Arlene's nameless guardian angel, and she chose the name 'Roxy' after seeing it printed across one of Arlene's t-shirts. Like Arlene, Roxy is a hyrbid as well: part guardian angel, part elven, and part guardian (the qualities of a guardian and a guardian angel are two completely different things).
This is just a sketch I did to help me see how Roxy's clothes look from different angles. Just ignore that pointed ear, unless you want to imagine it as the 'Guardian' ears just before they get real long. And in this picture you can see that the knotted cords are not tassels. I suppose you're wondering what those hospital-like bands on her wrists have to do with anything. If you figure out a use can ya e-mail me? *laughs* Actually, they're supposed to have words on them like those rubber-jelly-looking bracelets charities started, then everyone else thought they'd pick the idea up? I know you can't read what they say, and if you can, you are WAY TOO CLOSE TO YOUR MONITOR! BACK UP BEFORE YOU RUIN YOUR EYES! Anyways, on the left wrist, from top to bottom it reads: 'Magic', 'Happiness', 'Smile', 'Friendship', and 'Choices'. On the right wrist, from top to bottom it reads: 'Hope', 'Life', 'Believe', 'Dreams', and 'Heaven'. I'm thinking that each one of these has something to do with Roxy's personality.
