The Evening Lady
This picture right here still makes me go 'Woah. I DREW that.'
I love the way her face turned out. For one important reason: her nose. I've always had the worst time when it came to drawing noses, but on her, you don't seem to notice it right off. Forget all the feathers (which took forever to shade, btw) forget the feathered boa, the first thing I notice when I look at her is her eyes. I think they're my favorite part of this picture. Oh, and to all those kids I went to school with that thought I all could draw was "cartoon" people, HAH! I can draw other stuff! I just wasn't inspired to when I was in school.
