Reccomendations
I forget when I first started reading fanfiction, oh wait, when did reality televison take over TVs around the world? *laughs* I think it was when some of my favorite anime started going off the air that I started reading fanfiction. Then I discovered the Lord of the Rings fanfiction and how annoying Mary-Sues are, but some of them are just plain funny.
Here are some of my favorites off the top of my head. In the future the list will probably grow.
First off is a new favorite authoress of mine, Angel's Nocturne. This girl's got three of the best Yugioh fics I have ever read going on, and if you're a Yugioh fan, you should definitely check these out. She has more too, if you're not partial to any pairings in these fics.
Revival of the Heart: Atemu has just moved onto the afterlife, and Anzu keeps having dreams about that day. All seems fine until a new evil enters their lives. Her name is Samira, and she is ready to take over the entire world! Can Anzu revive Atemu in time?
70 chapters and going strong! Don't let the length of the story stop you from reading this one, it's kept me on the edge of my seat with each chapter.
Desert Aqua: The YGO gang is going on a cruise! But why is Shadi there, and why is Yami having strange dreams of Atemu? Joey keeps eating, Serenity's moody, and why are fish flying? FULL SUMMARY INSIDE! YYxA JxM TxSxD
This one's only 7 chapters but it's got a great start and it's funny. Plus it's got the beginnings of drama. Anyone that survived high school will understand.
Prince of the Orichalcos: AU He was cursed by the Orichalcos, saved by the Puzzle. Prince Yami slept for many years, but Prince Yugi solved the puzzle,and he finds both danger and the love of one brunette YYxA
This one is 16 chapters long and it's just a cute story all around, it's funny, and there's action and adventure! What's not to like?
This next one I actually come across just browsing one day. I might have just skipped over it, but something in my brain said, 'Click me! Click me!' Avada Crumperio, or just Avada for short, has made one of the funniest, most bizarre harry Potter fanfics I have ever read.
Making Friendship Bracelets For The Death Eaters: They may be called Death Eaters, but this group of minions are anything but evil, and they've decided to replace the Dark Mark with something much more fashionable... friendship bracelets!
31 chapters at the moment, with the 30th being the 1 year anniversary chapter which has a tiny cameo from me (Elfbrat) and some of Avada's other reviewers. The only thing I can say about this one is toss away any anger you feel towards the Death Eaters and what they've done, cause what Avada does to them is just gonna make you laugh your butt off.
Still sticking with the Harry Potter world at the moment, eedoe has come up with a very interesting Harry PotterxPirates of the Caribbean crossover.
Pirates From Potions: A potion gone horribly awry, enter two dashing pirates and two very jealous Gryffindor males. What have Ginny and Hermione gotten themselves into?
19 chapters and complete! Also includes an alternate ending! I liked this one so much I tried looking for other stories with this crossover, but none of them seemed to match up.
And last but certainly not least comes Cali IX, formerly known by many as Caliban the Wizard. I have no idea why she changed her name. Again, this was another random browsing day and again something in my brain said 'Click me! Click me!'
Smashing Days The Super Smash Bros. Way: Depicting life in the Smash Mansion through the character's eyes, one by one the Smashers say their woes. Has no connection with my other stories.
Now for some reason cali has it posted that she's abandoned this fic, but maybe that't just temporary. Anyways, 19 chapters is a pretty good bit for a fic like this, and if you've read it you'll know what I mean. I reckon it'd be hard to find a good ending to it cause no matter how you try and end one of these, it's gonna feel like it just drops off. Just because it hasn't been updated doesn't mean skip this one! I wouldn't put it up here if I didn't want to share it with y'all. I'm also in this fic too! Still look for Elfbrat, about chapter 7. I'm part of the SSBECF (Super Smash Bros. Escapee Control Faction), a group that does more damage than good! I get a grappling hook, a gun filled with paintballs, and a partner in crime by the name of Blazing Fool, who's very obsessed with his flamethrower...*laughs*
