Gaia: Mother Nature
Gaia. Mother Earth. Goddess of Nature. Lots of names, one main idea comes to mind when she is mentioned. Now I could go into a long explanation about her, but I'll just post a link to where you can read more if you're interested. [link]
I've wanted to draw Gaia for a while now, but I never seemed to get it the way I wanted when I started sketching. Then I started to think about how I perceived Gaia, and it gave me this idea. I like the idea of her coming out of a twisted, slowly growing tree with a piece cut off. Makes me think of how society is slowly growing more twisted and corrupted with everything that's going on in the world, and how Mother Nature has had enough, and it's as if she's trying to set things back to the way they were before we were here.
